YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Once you've decided on coverage, let us know and we'll send you a booking proposal. You'll sign the contract, and we'll collect a deposit to secure your date. From there, you're locked in, and the planning begins!

It'll always be the two of us, Adrienne and Corey! We are intentional about taking on a small number of sessions per year, so that we can prioritize showing up as a complete team and giving you the full experience you deserve. We purposely do not subcontract our sessions. However, in the case of severe emergency, we may reach out to trusted associates to supplement any service needs. In that case, we would have clear and thorough communication with any clients who would potentially be affected.

It’s not required, but if you already have a vision in mind, we’re happy to take a look at some photos you love! Beyond that, we can schedule a vision call to talk about what you’d like to accomplish during our photo session, given the location and lighting that we’ll have on your day.
-
Yes! But don’t think of posing as stiff or cringy. We start by getting to know more about you as a couple/family and how you show love to each other. We’ll also ask you how you envision your photos — are you drawn to editorial/serious/high-fashion vibes, or do you prefer candid/goofy/motion-blur? Or do you like a bit of everything?
From there, we’ll guide you through a few prompts to encourage natural expressions. When it’s appropriate, we are happy to cue you to move hair out of your face, to stand a little straighter, or to adjust your foot placement. Promise, we’ll make it fun and easy to feel your best!

This is totally up to personal taste! Many of our couples and families prefer sunset for soft, even lighting with a warm glow.
But we’ve also taken some of our favorite photos in the mid-morning light with a true-blue sky and bright whites.
And, we always have fun staying out past sundown to capture some nighttime flash photos.
Let’s talk more about what you might be drawn to!

We’ll work with you to choose the perfect spot on the island, based on the landscape you’re looking for! All Hawaiian beaches and parks are managed by the state, and require location permits in order to legally photograph on the land. Since our business is properly insured and registered with the state, we will secure the necessary permits for each session. Please note, there are certain beaches and locations which are not able to be permitted for photography.

Absolutely not! The more movement, the better. We love children and work with them often. And the best way to get them to be their happy, smiley selves, is by letting them move, explore, and go at their own pace.
With young kids, we like to let them lead the session and follow their interests. As long as they’re laughing and enjoying themselves, we all get to have a great time!

Island weather can be a little unpredictable, especially during hurricane season. If it’s a light sprinkle and you don’t mind getting wet, we’re right there with you and ready to capture some Notebook-style romance (and we may catch a rainbow at the end of it!). If we’re at risk of getting drenched, we will look into our options for rescheduling or relocating the session (either inside, or to a drier spot on the island if there happens to be one!).
